Psalm 23:4
“Even though I walk
Through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
For you are with me…”
–Jesus (during my worst moments)
Have you ever
been loved like that? Have you ever had a person sitting right next to you without
saying any words because they know you better than that to recognize when you
just need someone’s presence? They know you beyond the ‘socially correct’ rule
that demands a bunch of words that for your suffering heart are just meaningless
and empty.
Yes, they know
you better than that…..
You see, I was
never able to recognize this type of love from people until Jesus opened my
eyes to our very human emotional fragility and how stubborn we are to recognize
when we are in pain, when we are struggling.
When I have come
to my very emotional or physical end and do no longer have the strength in me
to even move out of bed these people has granted me the same Grace and
understanding Jesus has throughout my life and all that through their quiet
presence.
But what happens
really when isolation seems to be the only remedy to soothe your pain?
Let me tell you
that even then, you are not alone, for Jesus’ presence will always be with you,
whispering: “I’m here to lift you up, I’m here whether you’re ready or not, I’m
here my precious son, my precious daughter”……
